As a professional college counselor I have visited over 200 college campuses. Lawrence is one of those truly excellent liberal arts colleges that flies under the radar - making it possible to get in without being able to walk on water. Pick up Lawrence and Appleton and put them in upstate New York or in New England, and this place would be impossible to into. Kids work hard, but have fun. Graduate programs really value the experience. If you want a Bowdoin/Middlebury experience but might not get in, think about Lawrence
