Overall I would say NAU is a good school in an amazingly scenic area of Arizona with lots of fun things to do off campus…if you can get to them, everything is pretty far away. Social life here is pretty much nonexistent, and the students are very very cliquey. However, all of the academics are superb and there is no doubt that if you put the work into your classes and ask for help if you need it (all profs are approachable) then you will do very well here. The housing fees are crazy, and way out of a normal person's price range. Plan on working several jobs to cover your rent and the random fees NAU tends to slap on your account. I plan to finish out my last years here before transferring to graduate from a more prestigious university, but as far as small town schools go, NAU is the best AZ has to offer.
