Olivet Nazarene University

Unless you are hardcore Nazarene, just don't go here. In my department, you may get an easy A, but you probably won't learn anything. Everything important I learned at Olivet are things that I taught myself because my professors were completely indifferent. The surrounding area completely blows and anyone you work with will automatically hate you once they find out you go to Olivet because it's pretty much a huge joke to the rest of the town.

Olivet is a bizarro world where what's weird (going to Bible study every night, saving your first kiss for marriage) is the norm, and what's normal (wearing tanktops) is a sin. It puts out the image that it's a Nazarene utopia where maybe only 10% of the student body drinks or breaks the rules. But I would say at least 80% of the student body drinks and everyone lies about it to everyone else. On top of that, once you find out about all the politics within the administration and where its money goes you will be disgusted that this university calls itself "Christian."
