I have to say that HCC has tons to offer! Some locations are better than other. However, is it really worth the hassle? No, I don't think so. The advisers are idiots and don't know what they are talking about. They DO NOT accept national tests score, AP test scores, or acknowledge if you have transferring credit from another institution. An example of this would be if you have taken ANY math courses, once enrolled, they MAKE you start at intermediate algebra, then college algebra, then statistics, etc. Even if you have completed College Algebra or any other higher math. (They will NOT substitute anything in). Also, the majority of teachers just don't care about anything. There are a few that LOVE their job and all the rest, they don't care. Moral of the story—go to an university: USF, UT, anywhere but HCC. At least, at an university, they accept AP scores and let you test out of courses while HCC does not - major waste of time, effort, and money.
