Major: Neuroscience/Cognitive Science (This Major's Salary over time)
I knew from the start that I wanted a small school and I knew that Moravian's would be a good fit where I would have easy access to administration, which would be helpful because I want to create my own major. I have found that while the professors are easy to approach the rest of the administration is a bit of a mess. No one is on the same page and from personal experience and experiences from friends I can tell you that it is rare that two people on the campus will give you the same answer. You very much have to fight for what you want and do it all on your own which is what being in adult is about except for the fact that it shouldn't be as much of a struggle as it is a tiny college. For example if you go to your advisor he might tell you that he doesn't know the answer to your question but if you go to someone else they might know but when you get to this person they will tell you that they dont know and you should got ask your advisor. You feel like you are constantly running in circles. I loved all but one of my professor. Moravian definitely picks staff that not only have a passion and experience for what they are teaching but a passion for teaching as well. They are all available and willing to go that extra mile to help you in any way you need. Moravian really fosters the idea of going out and getting experience and trying knew things, which is fantastic. There are a fair amount of clubs but they tend to be small and maybe meet once or twice a month. If you want to be involved on campus there are many things you can do you just have to fight for it and take the steps to make it happen. The weekends tend to be boring unless you like getting drunk and going to the except same parties at the same places every weekend. it gets old and the school doesn't offer you anything to do. Most people go to the bars once they are of age. I recommend a car so that you dont feel trapped on campus. I have never had one on campus but we did pay a fair amount for taxis to take my friends and I to the movies. I got involved in greek life which greatly improved my social life and well being at Moravian. I highly recommend it even if you are caught up in the stereotypes because you will find that it is not what it seems (its better). Greek life also creates a sense of Moravain pride which the school greatly lacks. The campus is beautiful and when the weather is nice everyone is outside hanging out with each other.
