Flagler College provided me with countless opportunities to succeed. The personal, and professional connections you make here will last you a lifetime. Opportunity is everywhere, as long as you take advantage of it. My education here not only prepared me for graduate school, but provided me with several 100% funding offers. I couldn't be happier with my choice to spend my college years in one of the most vibrant, beautiful cities in the country. This experience was better than I could have imagined and I would do it over again.

Education - Outstanding professors who take a personal interest in you. The courses give you a real world perspective, and are also rigorous enough to prepare you for graduate school. Its very easy to double major or at least double minor at Flagler. The general education requirements are very flexible.

Student Body - Surfers, Christians, Surfer-Christians, and everyone else. The student body here is really laid back and relaxed. Yes, it is a very small campus, but with the number of off campus students you still see new faces every day. Be aware that this is no Harvard, but its also not a state school. The students are generally average to above average, and are very easy to meet.

Student Life - Dorms are bigger and cleaner than most. The biggest complaint that you will hear is about the gender based housing model. If not being able to have a member of the opposite sex in your dorm is a deal breaker - this may not be the right first-year fit. Students don't generally understand that this is in place for safety, and does not reflect the colleges moral views. If students asked educated questions of administration they would know that. Campus activities puts on countless events and functions around campus. The opportunity to gain leadership experience in a club or organization is easy to do. The location is perfect, as the college is in downtown St. Augustine.

After reading the negative reviews I can say that most of these are untrue. I would say that the majority of the students are happy here, and that this is a thriving institution. Find out for yourself if Flagler will be right for you - speak to an alum, talk to current students - don't take advice from someone with a bad attitude.
