The saying "you get what you pay for" obviously doesn't apply here. You'll pay damn near Emory money for a campus of GA Southern/ West GA caliber (probably not even THAT good). Cafeteria is bland at best and often downright pathetic. Campus buildings vary, some are up to date, but Connell Student Center is absolute garbage to the point that campus tours completely skip the interior (still has asbestos in some areas. Athletes/greeks are absolute snobs who live in their own circles. The school has virtually no spirit. They bribe people with pizza to come to men's b'ball and there are more people on the bench than in the stands for women's games. BE WARNED, THIS CAMPUS IS IN THE GHETTO. No way around it and every once in a while the local thugs will mug and rob women, students AND TEACHERS alike. This school wastes money like no other, pumping more than $60k for a hollow bear statue and a stadium for a walk-on football team. A lot of people go home on the weekends because they're lame, it's not Athens or Tallahassee, but there's fun to be had in "the Mac". Overall, the campus sucks, the people can be great or downright awful depending on the circles you run in, but the school's academics are what keep it (relatively) prestigious. Engineering, Business, Law, Medicine Schools are top notch and every bit as good as Emory. If you take your learning seriously, you'll do fine, if you're looking to party and get a "real college experience", go somewhere else.
