As a returning student, UWM Psychology was a great experience. Faculty are very approachable and most truly care about their students. Other students are friendly and helpful. Finding really good guidance can be tricky, but it's out there.

I rated safety as a "C" because it feels safe during the day, but as a semi-urban school it is important to be on your guard after dark. Milwaukee is a great city to explore, too.

Clubs and organizations are available, but you have to seek them out.

I did not live on campus, so I cannot speak to the quality of dorm life or general social life for fun.

One thing I would let others know is that it is a very liberal university in many respects, sometimes ad nauseum and to the point of feeling the need to keep quiet if you see things differently (even for moderate liberals).

Overall, a good school with a lot of opportunity.
