I think Skidmore is one of those "want to be" schools that thrives on being the second choice for Ivy leaguers; the school is constantly comparing itself to them for no reason. This is a party place for the wealthy who aren't able to get into a better school, but have the cash to party for four years. Getting good grades here is too easy, and the curriculum is often whatever the Professor's political viewpoint (always left liberal). I didn't find that it was actually possible to have conflicting beliefs if they didn't jibe with being ultra-liberal. The campus does support an active drug culture. I was taught why marijuanna is safe in one of my lectures- there was a death on campus recently due to overdose that was swept under the rug. Also, there seems to be constant physical fights between atheletic teams and girlfriends. Kids getting beat up badly. Also, kids have been arrested for beating up a cop. Wealthy kids with money and drugs…that's Skidmore.
