I have entered as a undergraduate at UW-STOUT to be a graphic designer. I have always been artistic and been put through a few art schools before graduating highschool. I have never, ever, had so many horrible teachers in my life. I have had some bad ones, but this tops it off. I have a great art/design teachers, but 90% of them are horrible. Some of the professors dont have experience in graphic design and claim they know what they are doing, some have the experience and do not want to help you or they tear your work apart (not only to point out mistakes, but they do not do it constructively.) I have met some good people, some great teachers not in my majors, but in the design area, HOPLESS! While I was still there, there were numerous firings of design professors not doing there job and teaching students. Just a horrible experience. If you are going to stout for design, choose another college or university. Do not waste your time and money on this "Inspiring Innovation" they call a one and only "Polytechnic" university.
