I attended John Carroll my freshman year of college and quickly realized this wasn't the right school for me. Carroll does offer a nice looking campus and some scholarships to incoming freshman. But beyond that the campus life, dorms, dining and academic options aren't very good. The university doesn't have many clubs and rarely has any events going on around campus. The academic core is confusing and difficult to accomplish, most students won't graduate in 4 years and end up paying more money. The dorms (Murphy) are very dirty and noisy, isn't protected very well. And the food is the same thing everyday. I recommend going to a state school which is cheaper, offers more academically and socially, and has more better rankings. Just from my freshman class alone, I knew over 50 students transferring.
