Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
I'm not here to bash the school or teaching staff, I just want to enlighten people about the deceptive nature of Rose State College. In fact, I have liked most of my professors, they have actually been great. However, my warning to anyone planning to attend the Rose State Nursing Program needs to RUN away from here as fast as you can… It's a bitch to get accepted and I have a 3.8 GPA. This school accepts you into a program based on a point system. I had 126 points when I applied, it took 133 to get in and a 3.8 GPA. Just this week, they lowered all the points for each class in half. This means I have less points now. I will never get accepted at this rate. I just think they need to be more upfront with the students. Again, WHEN I SAY RUN, I MEAN RUN LIKE HELL AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!!! Also, some of the hard classes I took, DO NOT TRANSFER TO OTHER COLLEGES… My advice to anyone wanting to become an R.N. is go to any other school in OKC. OSU, OCCC, UCO etc… You will be much better off than wasting your time here. We all have the same goal, to get in, get a degree and get out to work and live a better life than we have now. However, it will take you 4 times longer if you stay at Rose State. Just a word of advice from someone who has dedicated alot of time here. I now have to decide where to go so I can move ahead instead of staying stagnant at Rose. OSU has a much better nursing program from what I've heard from friends who have gone there and have already graduated and now working.
