The teachers there are nice enough and most of them are very helpful if you're having trouble. But there are some of them that are just too easy - it's almost insulting. My speech teacher never gave me less than 98% even when everyone knew that the speech fell flat on its face; he gave me points for sources I didn't have. There are some that are difficult, but act as if you should know. A great example is paper requirements. One of my teachers wanted sources to be used in a certain way, but did not put what she wanted in the requirements. I did not use the sources the way she wanted and I lost 15 points out of 100. When I emailed her about it, she replied with "Even though it was not in the requirements, you should have known." And each teacher has a different way that the prefer papers to be written and a different definition of "paragraph." That being said, there are some teachers that are really great and care not only that their students pass, but that they understand the material. Some teachers have many office hours and are willing to make appointments outside those hours. You really have to make sure that you check out your teachers with other people.
