There are many things to dislike and to like about UHH. Once you're able to focus on the positive aspects, and maximize the value those aspects bring to the table, you'll find that it is a unique place to have gone to school. I believe in general, that going to school in Hawai'i helped me from an admissions standpoint in getting into grad school at Georgetown. The simple fact is, there are not many UH alums applying - it certainly gives a differentiation factor and the impression that you have experienced various cultures.
