Absolutely beautiful campus HOWEVER…the buildings are extremely old. Most of the doms look like homeless shelters. If you do visit this school, please challenge my claim and ask to see the interior of one of the older dorms.

Also, absolutely under NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU TAKE THE WORD OF A TOUR GUIDE. Why? these students are PAID/volunteer to sell the school. do you really think theyd hire someone who\(`d say bad things aboutthe school. Your best bet is to go and ask several students (at least 10 imo). That being said they lie through there teeth trying to sell the school. Ask students about the good and the bad about the school and be specific with your questions. CAMPUS SAFETY: this school absolutely fails in this catagory. the campus safety is PERCIEVED as good b/c nothing has happened…however it is an tragedy waiting to happen. 1) Many people seem to forget that a student was RAPED right here on campus a few years ago. Feel safe yet? read on.. 2) With the exception of the New dorm `\)eagle landing\(` the dorms (which are locked and can be opened with a student idea) are EASY to just yank open. An alarm will go off however the police are not alerted. This i know because (youSRF:ELEMENTS:6xsrft students.SRF:ELEMENTS:15xsrf6) UMW has empty police cars parked around various parts of campus walk during the night. What help is that? lolSRF:ELEMENTS:16xsrf7) ive found FIRE EXITS LOCKED (there is a light indicating whether they are unlocked or not). That is a serious safety hazard and the school was unaware until i told the RA who reported it. What if there was a serious fire?!SRF:ELEMENTS:17xsrf8) The Doors to dorms which are normally locked and can only be opened (unless you yank and trust me…itd be pretty easy to yank open if you really tried) are frequently found unlocked meaning the locking mechanism isnt activated. Why the electronic locking mechanism randomly just stops working…i have no idea. but when you call it in the police act like they had no idea.SRF:ELEMENTS:18xsrf9) my friend was mugged in front of george washington hall knife point while he was with his gf. They never caughtthe guy. GW hall is about 300 feet from the Campus police station.SRF:ELEMENTS:19xsrfPEOPLE:SRF:ELEMENTS:20xsrf1)Mostly extremely liberal people. Known to be one of VASRF:ELEMENTS:7xsrfs: secluded from campus cuz u gotta cross a street and go around a fence. Okay dorms, horribly location.SRF:ELEMENTS:21xsrfBushnell: idk anything about this placeSRF:ELEMENTS:22xsrfMarshall/russell: Social life is usually great. Very old/shoddy interiors however. Elevators are scary/old/creak. People call them the `\)rape a vators\(` Madison/custis: great location (center of campus). Floors made of wood and easy to get splinters from just walking. Cockroaches. Madison is the LGBT dorm. Willard: interior is maze like. it was 8 people to 1 toilet/bathroom in the past. Now its 4 people. Odd smell that comes from no where. COCKROACH INFESTED. ground has uneven surface. Worst built facility on campus hands down. Virginia: circuit blows all the time from girls using too much power. Cockroaches. Randolph/Mason: opening up this year. idk anything about them other than that. Supposedly though the rooms are a bit on the small side RA`\)s: there are 3 kinds of RA\(`s here. 1) cool RA`\)s who understand this is college and people drink and stuff and wont go outa there way to bust you unless you do something really dumb (this is the minority). 2) new RA\(`s whoSRF:ELEMENTS:26xsrfboost school spirit.SRF:ELEMENTS:27xsrf campus is.SRF:ELEMENTS:24xsrfPARTIES: people will tell u that u can find them if u really try but most kids dont know where the parties are at, dont want you there, or they just arent happening. Most of the `\)parties\(` here anyway are like 20 kids crowded in a basement drinking beer, listening to drake, and taking turns on pong. Pretty sad imo… MISC: 2 years ago the school accidently publically RELEASED EVERY STUDENTS SOCIAL SEC # on accident. To whom they gave it, i forget, but the school sent a letter to every student apologizing. how the hell do u do that!? Also, Eagle landing had 60,000 dollars in damages BEFORE they went room by room at the end of the year to assess damages. Guess what the admin`\)s decide to do? Add 3x as much furniture back in so more stuff gets damaged. Whats even funnier though is that no one uses the common space really in this dorm either. ..
