DelVal has it's ups and downs, but it is primarily a great place to be. If asked to go through this all again, I would still choose DelVal. The campus is very comfortable and safe, and there are many teachers who are willing to go the extra mile for you (coming in to help on their own weekend time, etc). There is occasionally a teacher that I am not fond of, but that happened far more often in grade school. My worst complaint education-wise is that there was a math professor who's English was not acceptable, in my opinion.

Campus life includes many clubs, and there is always room for more. Entertainment is always being brought in every week in different forms such as comedians, magicians, drag show, or even a concert at the end of the year. Students are primarily approachable and friendly, but there are a few bad eggs as with any school. Others have mentioned people in the equine studies program to be snooty, and they are not entirely wrong. However, there are also many nice people involved in the program. Still, if you have your heart set on joining the hunt-seat equestrian team, I suggest that you change your plans. The B team is used and abused by the A team, and the A team has a few individuals who make the experience quite regrettable. However, other equine activities such as western team, vaulting team, dressage, and horse club don't yield many complaints, and participants enjoy themselves.

First Friday, as you will learn, is a great night to get out. The school will take you to town where there are many stores, great food, and live entertainment. It always makes for a great night out with friends. The town is also within walking distance for those who want to experience Doylestown during the week.

Housing can be good or bad. I lived in the oldest and most run-down dorm, but still managed to love living there (Ulman). Last year, the building was definitely quiet enough to study in and enjoy life. South Hall is the newest and nicest of all dorms, featuring its own fitness center, computer lab, fireplace, and multiple laundry rooms. The design is much like a hotel, and quite pleasing to the eye. Housing selection is based on multiple things such as GPA, involvement, and misconduct. So, if you want to live in a nice place, make yourself a desirable student and work hard.

This campus is truly an amazing place to live, learn, and make friends.
