I chose JTCC because I haven't lived in VA that long and needed a cheap school to finish up a couple of gen eds to get my teaching license. I haven't even started the classes yet and am already disappointed with the college as a whole. The best payment plan they would offer me on tuition was 60% with a $45 fee for the privelage of not having to pay all 100% at once, which is a joke. I might as well have not even had a payment plan, and will be eating beans and rice for the next two months to compensate for the hit to my finances. Three days before classes were scheduled to begin, I got a phone call telling me that one of the classes I needed was cancelled. I had signed up for online classes because going to school no longer works with my schedule. After they cancelled the class, I had the choice of either signing up for an on-campus class, or dragging out my education for another semester. I attended a community college in another state and liked it much better. I would recommend shopping around before committing to JTCC. I would only choose this school if it were close to home. That's about all it has going for it.
