Major: Mechanical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
If you're going for an engineering degree, choose another school. I don't know why UNM is even ranked for engineering, but I'm sure Sandia has a lot to do with that…(not a good thing). In their program, you only get to have hands on experience just one semester and it's basically a "diploma factory". I left UNM to go to Florida Tech and at Florida Tech, we actually live in the shop and learn by actually engineering with our hands. And at UNM the only company there to work for is Sandia where as I have a ton of companies here by Florida Tech that I can work for.
