I'll try to highlight both the good and bad of my experience so far. HPU has many positive qualities. Hawaii is beautiful, most of the professors are good and easy to talk to, and the college is surprisingly not that expensive. It costs around $10,000-20,000 less than a private school education on the mainland. However, there are some reasons why it is cheaper. Its in Hawaii but its not like staying at a fancy resort. Don't expect luxury. Many of the buildings are old and the campuses could use some updating. HPU is building new dorms down by Honolulu harbor I guess and they might be awesome someday but they probably won't open for a few years.
