Major: Economics (This Major's Salary over time)
Seton Hall is the best possible school I could have chosen. I have been provided with so many opportunities here that I know I would not have been given at any other school. For example, when choosing to participate in a club or organization as a Freshmen, you dive head first into program proposals, integration with the Seton Hall community, and event planning. The specialty faculty members SHU provides to help students with not only schoolwork and academia, but internships and real world experiences, have landed me with a grant from the Federal government that will pay the rest of my educational expenses. SHU is not a typical college environment, where drinking and partying is the main focus. Of course there are parties, but our students are not entirely focused on blacking out. I have never met a student that attends Seton Hall who is not a member of a Seton Hall Organization, and is not focused on improving the lives of both themselves, their peers, and the world at large. The diversity felt at Seton Hall can not be explained by simply color or heritage, but instead encompasses an idea that every student here has a story worth telling, and a mind worth exploring. My confidence has soared at this school, which has been reflected in my academics, my social life, and my future career. I feel well equipt to enter the real world, and do not feel as if I was sheltered by the ignorance of undergrad that so many of my state school friends fear. I owe it to Seton Hall that I have become the person I am today, and for that I am eternally grateful.
