Major: Accounting (This Major's Salary over time)
The teachers can't teach, and they don't really care. I am a transfer student and everyone acts like you have been on campus your whole life and should know everything. I once asked where I could find a book in the library. I was told "up stairs". They failed to mention which of the 5 floors it was on. The programs that are used on the computer are never explained and if you have a problem loading them onto your computer (which the teachers want you to do) they tell you they can't help you because they don't know how to do it either. I have even had teacher mark my homework assignment wrong, when they were correct. I am so sorry that I came to this college. I was told during orientation that there would be enough classes for everyone. "Don't worry, we will make sure the classes you need will be available to you." They just leave out the part about the classes which are prerequisites are the one's you won't be able to get into so your 4 year college experience will be a 6 year college experience. They also have the classes so full that the students are on top of one another. If you don't live on campus they will charge you $120 for parking and then there are NO parking spaces. Some teacher tell you to get one book, then will teach out of another. They are disorganized and confused. I have had teachers assign homework at the end of class and then hours before it was due, send an email changing what they wanted done. Was this school challenging? Yes, but only because the teachers don't seem to know what they are doing but expect you to know. I can't wait to get out of this school and find a college that will actually teach me something. The best thing this college could do is get teachers who can teach, make the classes small, offer more class times, don't lie to get students in and remind the staff that every semester their students may be "new to Rowan" students and for God's sake, get more parking.
