The other reviews pretty much get it right. The positives of HPU are the cost, not too expensive for a private school, small class sizes, accessible professors, diverse mix of students and just the overall fun of living in Hawaii. The negatives include all of the homeless people on Fort Street Mall, the fact that parking in downtown is expensive, the bus can be crowded, and the bookstore is way too expensive. There is one other thing that I am surprised nobody else mentioned and it is mostly positive. The students at HPU are really HOT, both the guys and the girls. I'm not just saying this because I went there. There have been actual multiple Miss Hawaii and Miss America winners to come from this school. I don't know if it is the beach or the fact that the food isn't so great and the elevators don't work well so everybody has to take the stairs, but lots of students are in good shape and above average sexy. Really even the nerds are hot, lots of cute Japanese, Korean and Norwegian girls.
