I attend the university of Arkansas as an Engineering major and I was curious of the easibility of the Calculus II class there? In particular professor LeGrand's class if you had her. The math department here is ridiculously hard and I am trying to find another option for Cal II for next semester. Any advice? |
Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
With a dangerous surrounding area, UALR is not a school that I would recommend. The coursework is fairly easy, what you would expect from a state school. The university seems to be more concerned with making the school look good, and building new buildings as opposed to improving education. The math department in general is terrible, expect all classes to be taught by graduate students. Another problem with the math department is the fact that even if you take an on-site class, you will be expected to do all coursework online. Engineering in Information Technology (computer science, information assurance and information systems) faculty is above grade, insofar as the rest of UALR faculty is concerned, very helpful. Given the choice to start over, I would not even consider this university.
