This is perhaps the worst school in the state. "Dean" Taylor the dean of the school is perhaps the least helpful, self absorbed, uppity dean ever. She considers herself a God amongst the students. She doesn't do anything to aid the students in anyway, except the few that she plays favorites with. In matters of alleged student conduct violations, the faculty proceed in a guilty until proven innocent manner even with no physical proof of wrongdoing. There are very few bright spots among the faculty. Many of the faculty members discriminate against athletes and people of varying races. Upon showing proof that i should have made one letter grade higher I was told the effort you put forth in this class is not deserving of that grade, even though going by her rubric my test scores, hw grades, projects, and quiz grades came out to a B i still earned a C. One of the English Lit teachers critiques papers based on her knowledge. I used a word she didnt understand and took points off because and i quote "If i dont know the meaning of that word there's no way you could." Athletics is the only thing that brought me to that school, and my friends are the only thing that kept me there. There's nothing in the town. It's a 30-40 minute drive to get anywhere, and even in those spots students are restricted on where they can and can't go. The dorms are deplorable. Maintenance requests are never followed through with and there were multiple thefts by said maintenance crew. Once they found out who stole the stuff all they did was fire him. No attempts were made to retrieve the stolen goods. The faculty plays favorites for which rules abide to whom. On top of all that the school charges 20k a year for a 2 year program in which many of your classes will not transfer out (I took 62 hours over my 2 years and transferred out with 44). The school masks itself as an institution of "higher learning" but i received more out of high school my senior year than i did in 2 years there. Avoid this school at all costs. Nothing about this school is redeeming except for the friends you make.
