Major: Physical Therapy/Exercise Science (This Major's Salary over time)
When I first went to Commerce, I hated it. Mostly because I was away from family and friends and went to school with a fresh new start. I stayed locked up in my room all first semester, barely talking to anyone but my roommate or going to any parties. It was boring, there was nothing to do and school was the only thing that kept me busy. HOWEVER, I had to learn that college is what you make it. Commerce isn't surrounded with a lot of things to do. You have to make it what it is.

To be honest, you don't go to college to party all the time and to make a crap load of friends, you go for an EDUCATION. The classes are small enough for the professors to know you by first name and are willing to help you. They actually enjoy teaching.

I transferred my sophomore year because I felt like I was wasting my time at a school that didn't have my major, physical therapy, when really they did. I didn't look into it, I was just in a hurry to get out. They just don't have it when you get to grad school. Now I plan on moving back to Commerce and finish my ungrad degree there then go to TWU for grad school. It really is a good school, you just have to be around the right people and find things to do. But if you don't get out and met people and become involved, you will not like it and complain and want to leave.

The only bad thing about Commerce is the surrounding city. But once you get over it being in a small town, there isn't anything wrong with it. It's a pretty campus with great professors and students that enjoy being there. Because if they really hated Commerce like they say they do, they wouldn't still be there.
