When I visited guilford, I was entranced by the beautiful campus, and the friendly people. I became convinced that this was where I wanted to go.

A year later, I regret my decision enormously.

Here is why:

Social Life

The student body hates guilford. Moral is extremely low (most people consider transfering) and the school could care less.

No night life. Unless all you want from your weekends is smoking weed by the lake or drinking in your dorm room, guilfords social life literaly could not be worse. Parties are shut down by 12:30, and theres not too much going on off campus. This is an incredibly strict school.

If you are an athlete, the administration wants you here. Sadly for you, the seventy five percent of the student body that are not athletes will hate you. You will be chased out of parties, avoided, and generally treated badly by most of the student body.

If you are a hippie/potsmoking type congradulations, you are in the majority. Unfortunately for you, the administration wants you gone. Guilford is doing everything in its power to overhaul its image.

people here are all about acceptance and diversity, as long as that diversity means skin color, and not diversity of opinion.

Facilities

guilford is nice on the outside, but if you go inside any of the buildings or dorms you will notice that they are actually quite shitty.

the internet blows. Not like a little. Like alot. This midterms weekend it didnt work most of the weekend, and neither did ANY of the printers on campus.

the food is awful. Just awful. Not much else to say about it.

Academics:

A joke, unless you are a bio major or something. Many of the staff are part time, or just waiting out their tenure. Last semester I had a history teacher who was literally dying in class.
