Date: Oct 21 2012 Major: Industrial Operations Engineering (This Major's Salary over time) Purdue was an absolutely awesome school! It is the perfect balance of academic and social. There are opportunities everywhere to meet and work with all different kinds of people (much like you do in the real world). The academics can be difficult, but the other students and the professors/TAs are there to help you. You just have to be willing to reach out and ask for the help.As with all degrees, there are some classes that you think are pointless at the time. But, what they are really trying to teach you is problem solving, so that when you get a problem in the real world, you know how to break it down into pieces and solve it.The extracurriculars and social life at Purdue are wonderful! There are so many different things to be involved in to grow you as a person, not just a student. Companies are looking for people that are well-rounded, not just book smart people with 4.0 GPAs like you might get at other schools.I decided to go to another school for Grad school because I thought I wanted something different, but I absolutely HATE the other school and I wish every day that I had gone to Purdue instead!
