I regret nothing more then choosing to attend Framingham state. To be fair it is the most affordable option for students in MA when compared to other universities. They are able to offer such low tuition while sacrificing much of what i expected out of a college experience. First of all the school is clearly overpopulated for its size. They recent built another dorm and are planning another without building the already lacking facilities on campus. The one cafeteria is absolutely horrible. It can become so crowded in the cafe that i have seen students sit on the floor. Not only is impossible to get into the cafe but the food it horrible and only gets worse as the year goes on. On weekends the food is the same thing every weekend and is particularly bad which is ironic because there is no one on campus anyway. The Library and gym close early on weekends and the administration doesn't give a shit about student life. The RAs plane activities suited for middle schoolers and only do so because they are required to on a monthly basis. The school is comprised of mostly commuters and the people who do live on campus leave on the weekends because there is absolutely nothing going on. I rarely even see anyone on the weekends who doesn't work here. I was a commuter for a short time and parking is a literal nightmare every day. Resident student who do have a car have to park a mile away and take a shuttle to get to there car. Registration is also horrible. the system crashes every single time and you will likely not get the classes you need . Also even though the school brags about how they put in a wireless system during tours its absolutely worthless. Watching a video is impossible and even getting your email is fortunate. i have had professors who wont work in their offices because the internet is so bad even if you plug it in. Of the friends I had as a freshmen most have transferred out and gone to Umass or other state universities and those that are still here hate it as much as I do and only stay because Framingham's credit system is designed to fuck you over if you try to leave. The only reason I would say to come here is because of $ and if so and your able become a commuter the education is fine and you'll just being wasting money trying to live on campus. Maybe I've just gotten more frustrated the longer I'm here but it seems to continually get worse every semester.
