Major: Economics (This Major's Salary over time)
I went through a couple reviews from both the positive and negative perspective and might be able to add a thing or two.I'm currently on leave from Claremont. Last year I enrolled thinking it would be a good fit as I could pursue and econ degree and find some likeminded, self-motivated, people. What I found—under the marketing campaigns and reputation—was a sort of false pride throughout the student body. I made some good friends who happened to be upper-classmen but I got the impression that they weren't satisfied. I'll be honest, the girls are borderline horrendous. My social scene in high school was much better. They were more down-to-earth and could easily give these girls a few strokes a side. I got the impression that the majority of the student body had spent a large portion of their high school career with their head in the book which is why they were able to get past the admissions office, but didn't exactly have a lot of social skills. The culture seemed rigid. Though the college pushes the social scene, for some reason, it didn't work for me.To wrap it up I would say that the emphases on leadership is sort of BS. The academics were challenging, but leadership amounts to far more than one's credentials. In all, the school sort of reminded me of junior year in high school. It was cool for a year, but there is no way I could see myself at Colins or god forbid TNC as a junior or senior in college.
