Major: Physical Therapy/Exercise Science (This Major's Salary over time)
My major is OT, not PT, just wasn't an option on this site..If you're interested in OT this is definitely for you! The classes are challenging and this first semester is nervewracking wondering if you'll be officially accepted into the 5-year program, but it's definitely worth it.Academically I love the school, I'm still not sure if it's all it's cracked up to be socially. There are some parties but most of them get busted, and all the major parties are at frats. Greek life pretty much dominates campus, which bothers me a lot more than I thought it would. There also isn't a lot of "pride" on campus either. They used to get way more into football games and athletic events, but since they changed all the tailgating policies a lot less people go. It's kind of disappointing because that was definitely something I was looking forward to about coming here. There's a mall right up the street which is great! There's also some part-time job opportunities, but most places want someone who lives here year round.Classes are great, and can vary from any size. My smallest class is about 17-20 people and my largest classes are 90 people. My professors for my larger classes to make themselves available by consistently reminding you of office hours.Personally, since out-of-state is pretty expensive and I don't come from a family of money so mine is mostly loans and scholarships, I'm not sure I would come here just to get a Bachelor's. If I wasn't in a Masters' program, I would probably go to a school that was cheaper. But, that's just because it's more important where you get your Master's from (if you need to get it for your future occupation) so you might as well save some money before going to a bigger school with a big reputation. The one thing I will say, which when I was looking for colleges I kind of ignored these comments but it IS very important—The financial aid office is VERY difficult. You don't have a financial aid advisor so no one really cares about how you're doing regarding paying for your education, and while my academic advisor is AWESOME they still can't really help with financial issues. You often have to call in order to get assistance and they put you on hold for at least 15 minutes every time. Also, when you finally get to talk to them, they are very difficult and talk to you as if you should know the answers to your own questions. I guess they just make you feel dumb.. I don't know. I've heard this during my college application process but didn't realize how much it mattered until now.
