Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time)
Overview:Harrisburg Area Community College (Harrisburg Campus) is pretty awesome, and I recommend it. As a photography major, the facilities available to the students are top notch, as it has one of the best photo programs in the country. My professors are earnest in wanting to provide a meaningful education for their students, and if you study hard you'll get good grades. Of course, you'll get some bad apples in the bunch, but thankfully I have only had to deal with one bad professor—and this is my third semester. Buildings:HACC is pretty much reserved. As the architecture may be older, the insides are continuously updated without being a hinderance or an eyesore.ART DEPARTMENT: I have good relationships with all the ART professors at HACC, and they're some of the coolest people to get along with. They are eager to help if you put effort into it. To be honest, it can be frustrating how nice they can be at times. I'm not saying that it's all fake, but some art students who literally have no talent in their field are getting praised because they took a picture of a pretty flower. I'd recommend telling them to cut the bull-shit and tell you how it is. CAFETERIA:Grease, Grease, Grease, Subway! I don't really know what else to say, except that the addition of the sub-sandwhich based food chain in this school is a miracle. Though it's typically pretty busy, you can count on Subway to keep you away from cheeseburgers, onion rings, and artery clogging foods. I'd brown bag it if you're not interested in spending money.CLUBS:They're easily accessible, so have fun! WRAP UP:
I don't have that much experience with any of the other majors or professors, but if you're an Art student who wants a great education at a low price, HACC is a great contender. Remember, the Harrisburg Campus!
