Monroe College

This is a total bait and switch college. The slickly dressed employees and the phony smiles from the introductions are quickly uncovered within the first few weeks of attending this "college". It's almost as if everyone working there is in on some kind of secret and/or scam. I had to transfer in from a school down south, I couldn't get into the city colleges cause they was all booked up. I'm hearing I'm going to have a tough time getting a job, and when I go to job fairs none of the jobs are any good. Cant live on 12 bucks an hour and the companies are telling me that's the place to start. The admissions counselor told me if I maintained a good gpa then I would have no problem earning 75 thousand a year. I can't even make 7500 a year with a monroe degree. I made a terrible decision by coming here.

The professors are not really professors, there's something wrong with every single one of them. The one's who are good, I feel bad for, cause the students I'm in some classes with are the worst people and should never be in this environment. Jail is where they'll end up, and probably very shortly.

There is no requirements to get in, but they tell you this school is as good as harvard. They actually tell people that monroe is the same as harvard but harvard doesn't like minorities. They tell people they will have the best life if they attend monroe college. I've heard in some cases when people have interviews they get turned away because they attended monroe college. It's as if the company knows how dumb a person is since they were dumb enough to fall for the monroe college pitch.

Trying to transfer the classes to another college is turning out to be another lie they told me. Almost none of my classes are transferring to the schools of my choice. This was the biggest lie of all and probably one that holds some merit to them being a fraud.

Finally, there's nothing to do around here in new rochelle. It's upstate new york and it's really boring. You have to go to the bronx to do anything, but people get shot all the time there. People get shot in the new rochelle too, lots of stabbings and lots of drugs around the school.

I can't wait to get out of here and go to a real college with decent human beings. I was duped and i'm writing this so it doesn't happen to anyone else out there.

All in all this was an absolutely horrible experience for me and the people I'm here with. I'll be trying to transfer out after school ends this december. I'd rather try to get a job making 12 bucks an hour than waste my time.
