Major: Fine Arts - Painting/Sculpture/Photography/etc (This Major's Salary over time)
The Visual Arts Department at Naropa is very small. In some regards this may seem good, yet … we have very little to work with here. There is only one large room where all art classes are held so it is impossible to leave large pieces of work here. There is extremely limited space for storage of any kind. Suggestions have been made to the school yet nothing is being done about it. It is just not one of Naropa's stronger departments. There are a few very good teachers in this department and then there are a few adjunct teachers here that lack the experience to really justify the price tag of the course. It is really a hit or miss school for serious art majors. Really take your time, look around, perhaps sit in on a few classes before you commit.
