Bunker Hill is a useful stepping stone on your way to greater things; it's affordable and there are a range of subjects to choose from. The train is right by the school, making it accessible. Parking can get crowded but is okay. I am taking a few prerequisite classes so that I can apply to graduate school next year.

However, don't expect very much guidance or assistance from the school - if you want to succeed, it's all up to you, and you're better off working out your own educational plan. The school is extremely crowded - the library is practically overflowing and registering for classes can drive you crazy, especially when dealing with some of the admin staff, who can be a bit rude - though I imagine that having to deal with the crowds of people would make anyone testy.

Having said that, I've had some mixed experiences with regards to my professors - I am an art/psychology major.

Some of my professors thus far:

J.Solomon (psychology) is quite good - friendly and willing to help, also flexible and clearly knowledgeable about the subjects he teaches. He is not at all condescending and accepts students with all levels of ability. He encourages discussion and diverse thought but as he is very deeply rooted in academia misses out on some practical aspects of the subject he teaches.

Y.Chen, from the art department, is also very good. His enthusiasm for the subjects he teaches is infectious, his instruction is clear. His attitude to teaching is refreshing - his criticism is always fair and never negative, and he seems to genuinely care about his students. Not much room for experimentation, though, but his classes provide a good foundation. Take his class.

V.Diaz (psychology) is knowledgeable but needs to be pushed; he is so laid back that by the end of the class you don't feel like you've learned much. He is however pleasant and flexible and has a lot of practical experience in the field. The class is easy but sometimes you feel like you're wasting your time.

B.Lin was not good at all - he was extremely offensive and seemed more concerned about being cool than actually teaching anyone anything. He seemed like he didn't care about teaching at all. I was very disappointed.

So, in summary: Bunker Hill is only good as a stepping stone. Don't hang around longer than you have to.
