Coming from Maryland I can say that East Carolina is a pretty solid school. The academics arent as bad as its made to seem but isnt very good either. Fair amount of Blutarskys here. Work hard and put your grades first. Be outgoing, most people are pretty pleasant and the parties are fun even if its not your scene go out. Always go to class because thats what its for. All in all I would give it an 8/10. 9/10 for social life and a 7/10 for academics.
