Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
Unless you're into Agriculture or Engineering, NMSU is a terrible school. Classes focus more on making you remember facts rather than engaging you in the subject and cultivating actual intellectual growth. Academics aside, Las Cruces is an awful place to live. There is absolutely nothing to do unless you're willing to make the drive to El Paso, and even then your options are limited. Not to mention the overall "dirty" feeling that surrounds both cities, although it's hard to tell if it's from the kind of people who live there or the constant layer of sand and dust that wind constantly dumps on the town.
