I so, so deeply regret choosing this school. My experience has been awful. Advising is useless and you will be told classes fulfill a requirement, only to learn the next semester that they no longer fulfill it, which is probably the reason why most students spend 5 years here. Many professors are rude and not at all understanding or unwilling to help. I failed a class because a professor claimed to have not received my work by 11:59, and when I suggested it could have been issues with the internet or submission method, he failed me anyway. When taking a science class, be prepared for the grades in your other classes to drop as you struggle with the science work just to earn a C. As a history major, I was turned off by how subpar the department is. Individual professors in the department are fantastic, but the majority are terrible and unwilling to really interact with students outside the classroom. Some semesters, there will only be two classes offered by a certain department, and if these are full, you wait until the next year, in most cases. Parking is an absolute horror, considering the school is mostly commuters. The school seems to attract remarkably subpar students, contrary to what I was told by many alumni, and these students are unfriendly, cliquey, and altogether unpleasant. Knowing what I know now, I would have transferred to another local school before the end of my first year. Better yet, I wouldn't have attended this school at all.
