Major: Journalism (This Major's Salary over time)
I am an out-of-state student who came to CU because my parents both went here. I would recommend coming to this school if you are from Colorado and/or you like to party. Though I have enjoyed most of my classes, I have found that many of the students in them constantly talk about getting drunk on the weekends. Everyone here parties. I am not a big partier, but I have gone to The Hill a few times and it is really overrated. Almost half the people on my floor have transferred or are planning on transferring. The majority of the ones who are staying are from Colorado. Some students are friendly and you'll meet nice people, but most of the people won't give you the time of day. Barely any smiles around campus. The gym is so far away from the dorms (unless you live in Will Ville, Libby, or Baker). There is constant construction (very annoying!) Overall, I found the campus unwelcoming. The campus is huge, so you will get apathetic about walking to class. You will love the school on your tour here, but just try to picture yourself spending every day at the school. Think ahead please. I am transferring at the end of my sophomore year (the only reason I'm waiting is because it is easier to transfer as a junior than a sophomore).
