I love Stony Brook, and almost everybody I have met here loves it too. I was actually surprised to see any negative reviews of it. First things first. I don't drink or smoke, and I am 21 year old male. People say there are no parties here have no clue what they are talking about. I don't party and I always find myself in a suite with a party going on. Plus every Thursday there is a party off campus at a frat house. I made a lot of friends here, too. Some of my closest friends, actually. Go to hall conceal, people introduce themselves, and you start making friends with their friends. My first three weeks here I already made loads of friends. As far as the rumor saying there is a lot of Asians here, there is a lot of Asians, but there are just as many other races too. It is very diverse here, which I happen to love. The weekends aren't dead. There are 24000 students on campus, even if half went home on the weekends thats 12000 still left, which is the size of most schools. This school is also awesome for the price. I have learned so much here compared to my other college I transferred from. I love here, and so do most people.Come take a campus tour and check it out for yourself!
