I disliked Whitewater so much. If you are not going for a sport, do NOT go to whitewater. The surrounding town is just horrible. There's a McDonalds, Walmart, and a Culvers that's about it. It feels like there are more students than local people in the area. The police have nothing better to do on the weekends besides busting parties and such. Every time I went out I was nervous about that, EVERY time. There is no diversity. Half of my professors couldn't speak english well. There is no opportunity whatsoever, which is very unfortunate for students. On a positive note, the sports are very very good for a D3 school! except no one really attends the sporting events. The buildings are pretty nice, also very accessible for people with disabilities, which is nice! I know everyone's experiences are different, but there is a very high transfer rate from Whitewater… At least I personally know a lot of people that really don't like it.It's not worth the money for out-of-state students. OH! another big thing, everyone goes home on the weekends. Whitewater is a ghost town on the weekends for sure. So that really sucks. Just don't go here. I actually transferred out and am at a Big ten school now. Honestly, transferring was the best decision I have ever made!
