I am a third year student with this being my first year (second semester) at UIS. From day 1, there were difficulties with my paperwork and immunizations records and those working in the admissions office are unhelpful and rude. I am not the only one that has had confrontations with admissions. Also, the campus is unorganized in everything from the way campus is set up(the map does not contain half the buildings a student is looking for) to the organization capabilities of faculty and "other" workers and offices. I absolutly HATE this school and even though there are classes that I do not want to take at other area colleges for my degree, I WILL NOT be returning to UIS. I am actually considering dropping this semester and starting else where in the fall. Most of the faculty takes a month to grade exams, of all the classes I have taken so far, the tests contain information and questions that was not covered in class. Setting a student up for failure. Before I transferred to this school, my gpa was close to 4.0. It has dropped signifigantly, thus the reason I may drop this semester. Only 5% of the students have a gpa over 3.5. That, in my opinion, is rather pathetic and says quite a bit about the school and the teaching abilities of it's faculty.
