I applied to Juniata because the online application was free. I was very surprised when the college decided, seemingly out of no where, to consider me for a fellowship solely based on my academic record and SAT/ACT scores.I traveled to the campus for an interview for this fellowship. My expectations were low. However, they scheduled a tour of the campus for me when I was in for my interview, and that tour was enough to make me love the campus.I was skeptical about Juniata from the beginning, and became less and less so over time up until my first week of the freshman semester. Then, I knew that I loved Juniata. It's true! I love it here! I am applying to be "peer leaders" for various campus activities so that I can talk to skeptical prospective students / freshmen and let them know that I, too, judged Juniata by its size instead of by its quality.
