Major: History/Histories (art history/etc.) (This Major's Salary over time)
I am a first year student at St. Francis University. You know, coming here, I had almost high hopes. I saw that the academics here looked as though they would challenge me to a high extent. I saw that the faculty were extremely friendly. I will be completely honest with you, people. I saw that there were plenty of beautiful women here. I had had better experiences at other colleges as far as friendly atmospheres (I came from a red state-no one was ever happy) so I had high expectations for this place. It was close to the apartment that I am renting out, so I was like "Oh, this is perfect! All of this is just adding together to be something that could potentially be life changing!" I will be honest with you again, people. It was life changing for the worst. I am not challenged in my classes at all. Since this is mostly a health science college, absolutely NO ONE is concerned about anything else but being a PT, OT, or Pre-Med. When I first came here, I would answer questions in class and people would look at me like I came from a different planet, like its not RIGHT for someone to ANSWER QUESTIONS in class. It's ridiculous. People here act like they're in high school. This is pretty much like high school, I will confirm anyone who said that previously. Everyone has known everyone around here for their entire lives. If you come from somewhere that is not where they're from, they WILL shun you, especially if you don't play sports. There's certain people who are friendly, but even then, they find it hard to really reach out to you (no pun intended). I don't even have ONE GOOD FRIEND. NOT ONE. I am generally an outgoing guy and can get along with most people, but this is just preposterous. People who know you will pass you by in the hall and will not even say hi. The women, yes, they are gorgeous. Yet, they act like they're such high class and treat themselves like they're unattainable to anything but a meat head jock (which consists of 90% of the male population) and even then, when a man of wits comes their way it is an enigma to them, and totally shut me out because I'm different. Yes, I maybe focus too much on the dating aspect of college, but college is a place where you find someone to spend your life with. If you are concerned with that as I was, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. If you want a good, challenged education and you are not a health science major, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. It is a Catholic institution, yes, so there is a good Catholic atmosphere, but even those individuals act as though they are in a clique and it takes an extremely long time to get them to even like you remotely, which is NOT a good Christian situation. All in all, you will not get challenged academically, you will not find a good woman because they all think they're so hot but they're not, the people are snobbish upper class pigs that have no hearts, jocks make up 90% of the population, the faculty is excellent, I absolutely love my teachers, you will have no social life but the stupid events that they have at school that only depend on popularity (CLIQUES), if you don't conform and become a jock yourself you will be ostracized, and pretty much it is a lost cause unless you are what I am complaining about (meat head jock, snobbish preppy chick, or soulless individual). I wish I could leave. I really do. The only thing keeping me here is that it is a Catholic school and I love Jesus. Other than that, I WISH I could leave…

questionHello, my name is Antonella a prospective student at Saint Francis. I have really enjoyed your post and appreciated your genuine inputs. I have a question for you. I am about to enroll in the Master of Health science on line…is this program difficult? Is it true that (as somebody have said) the professors are lazy and the tests are very challenging? Please, tell your honest opinion…it may save my life!! Just kidding…but, I would really appreciate it…Thank you!
