While I do have my consternations about Towson University, particularly the students in terms of intellectual stimulation, I would say my experience has been positive thus far. For its price, TU has TERRIFIC resources and educational quality. The professors I have encountered so far have been very helpful, inclusive with research/opportunities, and nurturing. Ive met a select few of very civic minded, AWESOME individuals albeit after two years of being immeresed in an intllectually lacking pool of peers. This isnt to say a large amount of students here are dumb, but that I found it diificult to find engaging conversations when I first came here. That may or may not be attributed to my lack of school engagement at that point. After meeting a core group of people, I am now very satisfied with my experience here. One of the problems associated with TU is that because a lot of in state students come here, they "leave for the weekend", which isnt entirely true. This problem is easily rectifiable and if you have any pride in your school, you could choose NOT to go home on weekends and be a visible presence.
