Major: School of Information (This Major's Salary over time)
I understand a lot of peoples frustrations with Capella. They are all real concerns and had I experienced the same I would give a similar review. But here is why Capella works for me: 1) I am already a professional in the field I am studying. I don't have to worry about this degree getting me in the door. I am only getting this degree because my employer requires one to go onto the next level.2) I have an alternative means to pay for this school (GI bill). I couldn't imagine trying to pay out of pocket, or to finance, because the cost is so high, even for undergrads. Their overhead costs should be a fraction of what it is compared to a traditional school. There is no reason why it should cost more than a traditional school. 3) The program I am enrolled in (BSIT / Information assurance and security) is accredited by ABET and CAEIAE certified by the NSA and Dept of Homeland security. Capella works for some people, and doesn't work for others. If you are researching if you want to go to Capella, make sure you understand the risks and benefits before even contacting an enrollment counselor.
