I was really excited about coming to this school. The people seemed friendly, the academics seemed reasonable, and it sounded like everyone enjoyed going there. What I found was that 95% of the students already have/want to leave. The school is probably one of the most depressing places I have ever been. It seems like the weather is cold and rainy all the time, the dorms are so small you feel like you are living in a prison cell, and there really isnt much to do on the weekends. The food is almost inedible especially on the weekends. If you like bingo and laser tag, you will love the nightlife here because thats about all there is to do. If you are looking to drink and party, this is not the right school. The surrounding town of Loretto has a pub, a gas station, and thats about it. There are rarely parties thrown (and if there are they normally get busted very quickly). The academics were, in my opinion, not worth the money. I studied hard for all the tests I had only to come away with a C. All the tests I took did a terrible job of covering the material. The questions were random, confusing, and sometimes included information the professor didn't cover in class. I almost always felt that I wasted my time studying because the tests were so poorly put together it didn't even matter in the end. With some exceptions, the professors I had were lazy, unorganized, and seemed like they didn't care how their students performed. Some professors were helpful though, and I did succeed in their classes. Pros include safe and clean campus, and I met some really good friends there. Thats about it. I wouldn't recommend this school, at about 38,000 a year, its not worth it at all. I was in the physicians assistant program, which a lot of people say is a very good program. I found that it was extremely challenging and hard to get through. I would say only if you are willing to work extremely hard and looking for a quiet college experience, its worth trying. Other than that, I would not recommend this school.
