Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
Tuition has gone from 22000 to 28000 in the 4 years I've been here, and for what? To pay for some giant glass cube and shitty renovations in front of an old building. Or maybe the Dodge Challengers campus police need to patrol the parking lot. Meanwhile, the ceiling in the library was literally crumbling over the computers students were using and the school's wireless remains unreliable even after an "upgrade". The wireless here is some sort of sick joke and it has been for years. For a technology school, the technology sure sucks. Each time I've had to take my laptop to technical services, the "solution" has been to wipe everything.I keep getting emails about shootings and thefts from right down the street.Don't withdraw from any classes. The curriculum is so rigid you will fall off track unless the class is retaken during a co-op semester. Way too many courses are only offered once a year. Some advisers will try to help and some won't even meet you when it is required. Trying to cross register with other schools resulted in ignored emails. The curriculum is convoluted, had to take a senior level software course 2 years after the last required programming class. One of the professors was fired with two weeks left in the semester. The class was still counted. The replacement professor was not a professor, and he mentioned that we hadn't learned what we were supposed to. Those who missed a majority of classes lucked out while some who were doing well got screwed over. The only advantage to coming here is the school's connections to several companies. It's pretty hard to screw up Co-op here in Boston, and I'm glad because otherwise the 4 years here would have been a complete waste of time.Don't commute here. There are a few sofas were you can crash, even one in front of the fitness center if you want to feel like a complete creep. Otherwise you're going to the library. Don't even come here, it isn't worth it anymore. Tuition is reaching RIT high's, go there instead.
