Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
The actual classes and Professors I had were great!! The rest of the school staff not so much. This school is very disorganized. My transcripts were not reviewed until 5 months after they received them (and were only reviewed when they were because I went in to see an advisor to get everything straight in order to apply to my program of study, and found out they had not reviewed them yet). Not to mention, they made mistakes on my transcripts when they did review them (giving me credit for classes I didn't take and not giving me credit for ones that I did) The financial aid department is very disorganized unhelpful and unfriendly. When you sign into the financial aid office they have the student receptionist weed you out.. every single time I went in to the financial aid office I was told something different and not given correct or enough information. It was very exhausting trying to navigate it. I finally started requesting that I speak with an actual advisor, and even then it seemed as though they would take a 1 sec. glance at my account and then give me quick, short answers. Only to leave me feeling unsure about my status and usually leading to me finding out a couple of days later that there is something else going on that they didn't inform me about while I was just in the office two days before or that I still needed to "sign this or that", submit this, etc… and what made it worse is that the communication via email, phone, etc is basically non-existent and updates to my school accounts online were rarely current. So even checking my school email and accounts everyday, multiple times a day didn't help. It just felt like a constant run-around and lack of communication. I have been to two other community colleges in two other states and I have never experienced the type of problems or problems to the extent that I have experienced at this school. All of that being said, the professors that I had during my time at this school have been excellent! I am currently taking my last class at this school, and then I am transferring to another school for the program I am studying, due to my experience.
