Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time)
I have just finished my first year at Lasell and I have to say it was quite interesting. I read comments on this page before I went in the fall and to be honest I was worried. Most of the comments are very true about the school. To start, the food is awful its the same thing every night for dinner, chicken. The pizza is alright and the stir fry station is sometimes decent. The professor at this school for the most part are very nice and helpful, but some are absolute airheads and you wonder how they even graduated college. The dorm life is decent, I lived in McClelland and it wasn't all that bad except they wouldn't fix things broken in the bathroom for weeks. The party life is alright, I read that most people said its awful but it really isn't all that bad except for the most part the parties are sauna's. There are some off campus parties that are pretty fun. The most negative part that I read on most of these comments are that the people are horrible. That is completely false. Basically everyone I met at school was very nice and accepting but don't get me wrong there was the occasional jerk. The school is very cliquey especially when it comes to the teams. I know this because I am apart of a team and hung out with primarily only kids on my team but I also had lots of friends that were either on other teams or did not play sports. My advice for students planning on coming to Lasell is that your time at Lasell is what you make of it. My first semester I was a very close-minded person and didn't try to make many friends but my second semester I was more outgoing and had an absolute blast. If you are not willing to put in the effort to have a good time you are not going to.
