Knowing what I do now that credits at the community college system are direct transfer credits, and the level of direct attention to my education and the level instructor quality in at UHM vs the UH community colleges, I'd advise anyone to take their core classes at one of the community colleges while only taking major classes at UHM. Every professor I had at the community colleges, when classes were full at the UHM campus,had either their masters or doctorate. At UHM most of my core classes were taught by TA's or by computer. It is great that the entire State University system is directly linked which gives high flexibility.
